Joaquín garcía

Joaquín is about to finish his undergraduate degree at FES Iztacala, UNAM. Since he started his studies he has been interested in species conservation and how to combat the anthropogenic effects that generate habitat loss and extinction of species on the planet, especially mammals. In mid-career he realized that this could be done through ecology, biogeography and evolution. He has taken courses in conservation and research of large carnivorous mammals and multivariate analysis of ecological data with specialized software. He is currently working on his degree project called "Diversity of medium and large mammals in the Espiritu Santo State Reserve, Jilotzingo, State of Mexico". His life goal is to protect species from extinction and to have a PhD to be a figure of admiration and knowledge for people.
